Maria Tapia-Sauerman, MD
Dr. Tapia-Sauerman has been practicing outpatient pediatrics in Albuquerque for the past 25 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and completed her pediatrics residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. She is board certified in pediatrics.
Dr. Tapia-Sauerman is of Cuban descent and is fluent in Spanish. She is originally from Florida, while her husband is from Albuquerque.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, extended family, and dogs.
Shelby Manno, PNP
Shelby Manno has been a pediatric nurse since 2013 and became a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 2022 after earning her master’s degree from the University of New Mexico. She is certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB).
Shelby cares for patients from newborns through age 18, with particular interests in adolescent health, harm reduction, and newborn care. She was born in Texas but has called Albuquerque home her entire life.
In her free time, Shelby enjoys attending New Mexico United games and going on walks with her family. She is passionate about building long-term relationships with the families she serves.
